View Multichannel Constellation Diagram

Use the Constellation Diagram block to visualize the constellation of a multichannel modulated signal.

Contents

A random signal is QPSK modulated, filtered through an AWGN channel, and passed into a Constellation Diagram to be plotted. The Matrix Concatenate block is used to concatenate and display multiple signals.

Open Example Model and Explore Its Contents

Run the model and observe the QPSK constellation. The received data points for the two input signals are shown in yellow and blue. The red ‘+’ symbols represent the ideal constellation locations.

After running the simulation constellation diagram shows the noisy constellation points for the two input signals.

Here the trajectory trace is shown for each signal.

Further Exploration

To run the model yourself, open the example using the button provided or by entering open slex_constellation_diagram_multi_channel at the MATLAB® command prompt. Use the Trace Selection panel to display measurements for the channel of interest. Consider modifying the model to change the PSK modulation order.
