Mechanical Translational Reference

R2026b

Reference connection for mechanical translational ports

  • Mechanical Translational Reference block

Libraries:
Simscape / Foundation Library / Mechanical / Translational Elements

Description

The Mechanical Translational Reference block represents a reference point, or frame, for mechanical translational ports. All translational ports that are rigidly clamped to the frame must be connected to a Mechanical Translational Reference block. For more information, see Grounding Rules.

Mechanical translational conserving port where velocity is equal to zero.

Programmatic Use

Port: V

Programmatic Use: Add Block

To add the block programmatically, use the add_block function with one of these library block paths as the source.

"fl_lib/Mechanical/Translational Elements/Mechanical Translational Reference"

Example: add_block("fl_lib/Mechanical/Translational Elements/Mechanical Translational Reference","myModel/myBlock",MakeNameUnique="on")

For information about programmatic access to individual block parameters, see the Programmatic Use section of parameter descriptions on this page.
