Install MATLAB Connector for Hardware Connectivity

MATLAB® Connector™ provides an easy way to establish a connection for communication between MATLAB Online™ and your hardware device. This app simplifies the integration process, making it easier to connect and control various hardware devices directly from MATLAB Online. MATLAB Connector ensures seamless data communication, enhancing your workflow and productivity.

Install Instructions

  1. Click MATLAB Connector download link to begin the download.

  2. Locate the downloaded .exe file on your computer.

  3. Double-click the downloaded .exe file and follow the on-screen instructions to install MATLAB Connector.

macOS
  1. Click MATLAB Connector download link to begin the download.

  2. Locate the downloaded DMG file on your computer.

  3. Double-click the DMG file and follow the on-screen instructions to install MATLAB Connector.

    Note

    MATLAB Connector might display some notifications. Enable the notifications by clicking the icon for notifications.

Linux®
  1. Click MATLAB Connector to download the installer file.

  2. Navigate to the directory where the downloaded file is located.

  3. Open a Terminal window.

  4. Run the installer:

    $ ./InstallMATLABConnectorWithHardwareConnectivity

When the installer finishes, MATLAB Connector is ready for use.

Note

MATLAB Connector does not natively support ChromeOS. However, you can set up the Linux development environment on a Chromebook® and configure USB device passthrough to use MATLAB Support Package for Arduino® Hardware with MATLAB Online.
