Hello
My organisation currently has licenses of MATLAB/SIMULINK upto 2020a/b version. I want to use Mixed-Signal blockset which seemingly was introduced in 2021b. Is a license/version update sufficient to access this blockset in SIMULINK. Or will it be necessary to purchase this blockset in addition to upgrading to new version of MATLAB/SIMULINK?
Thanks

Mixed-Signal Blockset is introduced in R2019a. It is a separate toolbox, which will need to be acquired separately. If you don't have it in your R2020a/b, barely upgrading from older verstion to newer version of MATLAB/Simulink will not acquire it.

Thank you. 1 more follow up question:
If a particular block in the toolbox has been released/added as part of 2021 release will that be backward compatible with 2020 MATLAB/SIMULINK version?

No. If a block is newly added in R2021, it won't be available in R2020.
If the block exists in both but is updated in R2021 (in whatever way), you have the chance to export the R2021 block/model to R2020 version and work in R2020 version. But of course, the new feature won't be available.
