During installation I am Promped:
Next Steps - Manually Retrieve Your License File
Network license files cannot be retrieved automatically.
License my license number ( wn: removed for obvious reasons)
Contact your system administrator, or if you are the administrator, follow these steps. You can also provide the path to the license file that is on the FLEXnet license manager server.
Step 1: Go to the License Center on the MathWorks website to retrieve your license file.
Step 2: Follow the steps in the Installation Guide to add SERVER and DAEMON lines to the license file.
Step 3: Bring the modified license file back to this computer and either launch MATLAB or the Activation client to complete this process.
I tried to follow guides onlune but in my License Center on the MathWorks there is no mention of a license file, I can see my license and license number but no file. If I click on my license a matlab .exe download appears but no mention to the license file.
Please help.

When you visit https://www.mathworks.com/mwaccount then on the line that lists your license, over to the right is there an icon that looks like a screwdriver crossed over a wrench ? If so, click that and then click on the "Install and Activate" tab of what comes up. On the right hand side of what comes up, there will be an Activate A Computer button.
Alternately, on the line that lists your license, click on the license number. That will take you to the same place as the screwdriver / wrench icon, where you Install and Activate, and ask to Activate A Computer
