Figure Control Buttons Out of Sync in Live Script

I'm running a live script. When I hover the mouse in the figure I the home, zoom out, zoom in, pan, and save buttons become visible in the upper right. But when I move the mouse to those icons to select one, like zoom in, they disappear and can't be selected. Sometimes if I click near one of the icons it seems to "take," but that seems to be hit or miss. Haven't had this problem before and, needless to say, it's quite frustrating. Anyone else experience the same and have a solution?
Regular figure windows still work fine, i.e. not in live script
I already quite Matlab and restarted.

Hi,
First, try to click on the arrow on the top right corner of the figure in the Live Script output window to open the plot in a separate figure window. A screenshot of the same is given below:
If this doesn't help you out, then try restoring the MATLAB Preferences to the factory state by going through the MATLAB Answers link below:
