Simulink start page stuck on infinite loading screen

I am using Matlab 2022b. This is the behavior I get when opening Matlab.
  • Selecting the Matlab application once will open two seperate Matlab windows.
  • Matlab itself runs fine (I can run
  • Opening Simulink loads the Simulink start page and once I select a project it gets stuck in an infinite loading loop. I have tried reinstalling and I get the same behavior.

Hi,
Based on my understanding about the problems you are facing with simulink loading, there are a number of things that you can try to resolve the issue. Here are some suggestions:
  1. Update drivers and operating system: Make sure that you have the latest version of all the drivers required by your computer and the latest version of your operating system. This can sometimes resolve compatibility issues.
  2. Check MATLAB version compatibility: Ensure that the version of Simulink you are trying to use is compatible with MATLAB 2022b. If you are unsure, check the release notes for both MATLAB and Simulink.
  3. Clear MATLAB cache: Clear the MATLAB cache by deleting all the files and folders in the %APPDATA%\MathWorks\MATLAB folder. This will remove any corrupt or outdated files that may be causing the issue.
  4. Using "start_simulink" command: You can try starting simulink using this command: Start Simulink without opening any windows - MATLAB start_simulink (mathworks.com) . It can help improving the speed/loading time of simulink.
  5. Disable antivirus: Temporarily disable your antivirus software and try running MATLAB and Simulink to see if the issue is resolved. Sometimes, antivirus software can interfere with the proper functioning of applications.
  6. Run as administrator: Try running MATLAB and Simulink as an administrator. This can give the necessary permissions to access the resource they need.
If none of these suggestions work, you may need to contact MathWorks Support for further assistance.
Hope it helps!!

I've had the same problem, and the third suggestion has successfully solved the problem.
