Additional Home License/Apple Silicon questions (Support is not helpful)

I managed to file a Support case for these questions but got boilerplate back with no answers. Trying the Community reluctantly...
Config: M3 Macbook Pro. Considering getting a Home License for MATLAB, Simulink, and a couple of toolboxes
1) The annual maintenance pricing is not available for the Home License. Any idea how Annual Maintenance works and costs?
2) Instrument Control toolbox seems to be available for Macs but the Data Acq toolbox is not
- What is the difference between these two superficially similar products?
- Is Instrument Control toolbox fully supported on Apple Silicon or is it restricted in some way? The Requirements page for this product is not back up yet.

Hey Ravi,
MathWorks was affected by a ransomware attack and you can check the status of the services at the link below:
Considering this is Sales and Installation query, why not try to reach out to the sales team for queries:

The link you posted prompts for a Work or University email address for Home License which is not for either Work or University use. When I enter my Mathworks account email address, I get "The form cannot be processed at this time. Please try again later." and have for over ten days.
I finally got Maintenance pricing after calling.
Got some information on the Instrument Control toolbox after persisting with Support Tickets. Initial answers were not helpful. Now I hope to hear from them on what is and isn't supported on Apple Silicon. https://www.mathworks.com/support/requirements/instrument-control-toolbox.html is still down.
Hey Ravi,
I was able to find a common page regarding compatibility and support for Apple Silicon. The following is Product Requirements for MATLAB:
Additionally, the below link goes into details regarding system requirements and also lists the unsupported toolboxes:
This is closer:
"The following support packages are available for MATLAB on Intel Macs but are not available for MATLAB on Apple silicon Macs.
  • Instrument Control Toolbox™ Support Package for National Instruments® VISA and ICP Interfaces
  • Instrument Control Toolbox™ Support Package for R&S® VISA Interface"
Does this mean that Instrument Control Toolbox is available for Apple Silicon but that it can't control anything on the most popular interfaces?
Hey Ravi,
While the website still seems down, thankfully the Internet Archive Wayback Machine has a copy from February 2025 that you can visit:
Specifically, it mentions:
"For VISA and GPIB support on Mac, availability and installation of third-party platform-specific GPIB and VISA libraries are required."
So, it sounds like controlling instruments with MATLAB is not possible (or at least not straightforward) on Apple Silicon Macs.
