Ctrl-z no longer works when accidentally deleting axis instead of line in plot
Show older comments
When deleting lines from a plot (typically during data exploration), I sometimes accidentally select the plot axis instead of a line and end up deleting the whole plot (or subplot) instead of just the line. In previous versions of Matlab (pre-2025), ctrl-z would bring back the deleted plot, but now I only get an error message about invalid figure handle and need to recreate the plot from scratch. Is there any way to bring back the previous behaviour? (Ctrl-z still works for deleted lines, so some information about the plot must be retained somewhere). Or, if this is not possible, is there some way to make the highlight of the selected line more visible? In zoomed in plots, the chosen line is often not marked at all, and this makes it rather more difficult to be certain that the chosen object is indeed the line and not some other object in the plot...

Apparently another loss of functionality as a result of the new interface.
