I CAN launch my Matlab. But during the installation of PLS toolbox, the toolbox need to start Matlab and then I keep receiving error -9. Why would this happen?

If this is happening during the installation of the toolbox but your MATLAB is otherwise running normally then I predict that you are running os-x or Linux and that the installation of the pls toolbox involves sudo. Any work done while sudo is running under username root not under your own username and that includes running MATLAB, which is authorized only for your username and not for the name root

Here I attach the screen shot of the error. And yes, the MATLAB is working and I can only get the error during the process of installing PLS.

No, my MATLAB is not working now. I will go to fix it first. Thanks a lot.
