How can I use Standard Deviation Masking (SDM) technique in image processing for noise removal? If anyone can provide the code or syntax for that I would be very grateful.

I can use median filter but SDM can provide better results when used for Astrophotography image processing. I tried to search online for the code and syntax but got lost.
