transform 5 minutes timeseries to hourly timeseries

4 views (last 30 days)
I have a timeseries built with about 5 minutes time intervals among each observation. I would like to transform it in a hourly timeseries.
How can I do this?

How do you have your timeseries stored right now?
Is it a pair of vectors, one holding the times and one the data?
Is it a matrix, with a column of serial date numbers and one the data?
Is it something else (and if so, please provide more details?)

I am assuming here that you want to change the time intervals and units of the time series object keeping the data intact.
Here are a few pointers which may help you:
  • The ‘Units’field in the ‘TimeInfo’ property of the timeseries object can be set to ‘hours’ to change the data to hourly intervals
  • To change the time interval, you may set the ‘Increment’ field under the same property to 1.
  • These fields can be set by dot-indexing the object.
Hope this helps!!
