Here's one way you can use cellfun to solve this problem. I made an anonymous function called isDraw. isDraw = @(letter) letter=='D' d = cellfun(isDraw, games) draws = sum(d)

Ned Gulley submitted a Comment to Problem 44481. How many Fibonacci numbers?

I went ahead and changed the test suite so the last number can be safely represented as an integer in double precision floating point.

'fit' is not a function in basic MATLAB. You might try 'polyfit'.

Ned Gulley submitted a Comment to Problem 44363. Is this is a Tic Tac Toe X Win?

@Sean, I think Doug's got it right. He's asking only if the X side (that is +1) is in a winning position. In test 7, the O side (-1) is in a winning position. So the answer given is correct.

You need to assign your answer to the output variable tf.

Ned Gulley submitted a Comment to Problem 1686. Generate a melodic contour string matrix

I admit they look wrong, but the actual text in the MATLAB code runs properly. I just re-scored some answers and they worked fine. It must be some kind of HTML display problem. I'll check into it.
