In thermodynamics there are various kinds of cycle such as Rankine cycle,Diesel cycle,Otto cycle etc.
Otto cycle is the thermodynamic cycle which uses adiabatic compression process, adiabatic expansion process and constant volume process to calculate the efficiency of the engine. The following Otto cycle was made with the help of Matlab Simulink. There are many blocks used such as Simulink function and function caller and inside the Simulink function caller there basic blocks used such as input output block, gain, addition, subtraction, multiplication, display. Which helps in calculation of the efficiency of Otto cycle when inputs such as pressure,Heat, temperatures, specific heat and gamma.Once this inputs are given and cycle is made to run it shows the output of specific work and efficiency of engine.
This cycle can be even used in calculation of numerical problems using Matlab Simulink
