Vicon Nexus

The Vicon Nexus application connects to, controls, calibrates, collects, and processes data from Vicon 3D motions systems. The software also allows the integration and synchronized capture from video cameras and other pieces of scientific equipment used in clinical gait analysis and sport biomechanics. These devices include force platforms, EMG systems, accelerators, and other measurement devices common in hospital and university laboratories.

Vicon Nexus is the main application used by Vicon customers in what the company defines as their Life Science market. This includes clinical gait analysis, general biomechanical research, sport biomechanics, sports performance, and ergonomics. 

Nexus has an Offline Data SDK specifically designed to allow users to push and pull specific items of data into MATLAB^®. The SDK provides access to Vicon 3D trajectory data, analogue data, and subject specific information (heights, weight, etc.). The SDK itself is in the form of DLL that is a .NET interface, allowing a MATLAB connection via the MATLAB automation server. Nexus also has a window within the application where users can browse MATLAB scripts and run them from within Nexus. Data from the currently loaded trial file is passed out.
