4 Case Studies Using Deep Learning in Research
Learn how researchers are using deep learning to solve some of the most challenging problems in engineering and science, and how new MATLAB® features make deep learning easy and accessible to all engineers and scientists. This video highlights four separate projects in which researchers:
- Performed feature extraction with a pretrained network (VGG-Net) to achieve IRIS recognition with
99% accuracy. - Created a fully connected network (FCN) to enable segmentation and classification of skin lesions.
- Combined machine learning (ACF) and deep learning to perform pedestrian detection for human aware navigation, which is used for robot navigation in a social context.
- Used just one image to create a contextualized dilated network to perform rain detection and removal.
