Modeling and Generating Code for a DC-DC Buck Converter using TI C2000 Microcontrollers
Overview
In this webinar, we will show how you can use Simulink and C2000 Microcontroller Blockset along with Embedded Coder to model and deploy a Power Control System on TI’s C2000 family of microcontrollers to regulate the output voltage of the DC-DC Buck Converter (BOOSTXL-BUCKCONV) using Peak Current Mode Control (PCMC).

- Model the TI’s Buck Converter Booster Pack (BOOSTXL-BUCKCONV) in Simscape
- Develop the control system to control output voltage of the BOOSTXL-BUCKCONV
- Use Hardware Blocks from C2000 Microcontroller Blockset to
- Configure the CMPSS to monitor the inductor current sense feedback (ILFB) signal using ADC and CLA.
- Configure the enhanced Pulse Width Modulator (ePWM) to trip on an overcurrent condition
- Generate code for the TI C2000 microcontroller and load it on the hardware board
- Monitor signals and tune parameters on the host computer
About the Presenters
Aditya Padmanabha is a leading the development team at MathWorks, specializing in developing C2000 Microcontroller Blockset. Aditya joined MathWorks in 2016 and has been building solutions that enable customers to combine MathWorks software solutions with embedded hardware targets for more than 7 years. Aditya holds a master’s degree in Signal processing and communications from M S Ramaiah School of Advanced Studies, India.
Jayakarthigeyan Prabakar is a Product Marketing Manager at MathWorks. He manages MathWorks tools that support development of embedded systems using TI C2000, STMicroelectronics STM32 and Infineon AURIX. Prior to MathWorks, he was a Senior Engineer at Qualcomm. Jay holds a Bachelors degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Anna University, Chennai, and an Executive MBA from Quantic School of Business and Technology, Washington, D. C.
