Sales Account Manager
As a Sales Account Manager, based in the Torrance CA office, you will sell engineering and scientific software and related services such as consulting and product training to the Department of Defense/Government accounts. Responsibilities will include developing relationships with existing customers as well as identifying and developing new business. You will work closely with technical experts and marketing teams to bring the full range of MathWorks product and service offerings to your accounts. The qualified candidate should have experience selling complex software solutions into aerospace and government accounts.
- Grow the license installed base with a strategic account management process.
Prospect to find new customers in the assigned territory to further propagate the utilization of our products and services.
Work with the larger sales team to qualify and execute specific territory strategies.
Leverage cross functional teams such as technical marketing, product development, application engineering, legal, and consulting to set direction for the territory and assure proper service to our customers and prospects.
Develop and execute a territory plan to meet and exceed quota.
- A bachelor's degree and 3 years of professional work experience (or equivalent experience) is required.
- A background selling technology products and services is preferred.
- 2-4 years of direct sales experience is preferred.
- A candidate with less experience can be considered possessing the appropriate level of experience, past success, and drive
- Overnight travel 25%
