What Is IEC Certification Kit?

Qualify code generation and verification tools for ISO 26262 and IEC 61508 certification using IEC Certification Kit.

The IEC Certification Kit provides tool qualification artifacts, certificates and test suites, and generates traceability matrices.

The kit also guides you in the overall use and key workflows involving MathWorks tools.

The certification kit also helps you qualify MathWorks tools and certify your high-integrity embedded systems to ISO 26262, IEC 61508, and other related functional safety standards.

Products supported include Polyspace®, Embedded Coder®, and Simulink® verification tools.

For tool qualification, the kit provides certificates and assessment reports from TÜV SÜD along with tool documentation templates and validation tests.

For ISO 26262, you start by examining the prefilled tool qualification work products and validation tests, then adapt them based on your project’s planned tool usage.

Test suites and procedures are provided to help validate the tools as installed in your environment.

For compliance demonstration or system certification, the IEC Certification kit allows you to export traceability matrices into Excel, covering requirements, model elements, and generated code.

The matrix is easily navigated, and after inspection, serves as an important certification artifact and facilitates roundtrip traceability.

By supporting both tool qualification and system certification, the IEC Certification Kit is indispensable for developing high-integrity systems using Model-Based Design.
