I am currently working in the Mac OSX ver 10.7.4 environment and need to connect a joystick to my Simulink model. Unfortunately, the Pilot Joystick, Pilot Joystick All and Joystick Input is not supported in OSX. Is there another way to connect a joystick to Simulink on a mac?

Simulink 3D Animation in MATLAB R2012b contains Mac OSX support for both Joystick Input block and MATLAB Joystick object. If you have access to the pre-release version, you can try it straight away, otherwise you will have to wait for the general release.

I am trying to solve the same problem, on Mac. How can I tell the Joystick block my Joystick Id? In other words, how to know my joystick Id on Mac OS. Thanks. Thanks.
