I am calling the 'mdfimport' file in a script to load the data from INCA (.dat) file to a .mat file.
When I am passing only the file name, it works and loads all the parameters in the Workspace. The command for the afore mentioned case is:
mdfimport('test_001.dat')
However, when I try to input more parameters with the following command e.g.
mdfimport('test_001.dat','test_001.mat');
I get the following error:
Operands to the || and && operators must be convertible to logical scalar values.
Error in mdfimport (line 55)
test= ~isempty(varargin{2}) && isgraphics(varargin{2});
I might be missing something trivial. Any help is appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I think if you want to have a mat file with the name as same as the dat file then you may use this:
mdfimport('test_001.dat', 'Auto MAT-File')
As this is an inbuilt function.
You may refer this link for the same:
