Hi there,
I am having problem with xlswrite after migrating to Windows 7.
Here is the error message I get:
??? Error using ==> xlswrite at 213 Excel returned: Error: Object returned error code: 0x800A03EC.
Here is the code giving the error message:
xlswrite('Liquide_SP500_expsm.xlsx',[MAT_CORR_SM';NaN(1,size(MAT_CORR_SM,1));m2xdate(datessm)'],'srce_corr','B5');
Here are my specifications:
- MATLAB R2010b, 32-bit
- Excel 2010, 32-bit
- Windows 7, 64-bit
Thanks in advance!

A couple thoughts:
1. I think the problem is you have not specified a path for your filename. My guess is that Excel is trying to save the file into the MS Office directory, somewhere off of c:\program files (x86)\ . In Windows 7 you cannot write to these directories without first assuming Administrator privileges. Try specifying the full path to your "My Documents" directory or some other place where you are certain you can save a file to.
2. If that doesn't work, can you post the lines of code around Line 213 of xlswrite.m? That might help determine why Excel is choking. I don't have the R2010b version of xlswrite.m anymore.
Good luck,
Eric
