How can I transfer data from one GUI to another one?

So, I have 2 GUI's that I made using GUIDE instead of using code. And what I want now is, when I push a pushbutton, the second GUI opens and shows some information. This information is contained in a variable in the first GUI, so I need to transfer this variable to the second GUI but I don't know how...

I know one option is to save the variable in a .mat file and then load the file from the second GUI, but this method does'nt seems like the optimal one.

You can also use a global variable or pass the value via the callback function. The callback function in this case is the function that opens the new GUI. Your English is great!
