Fuel Cell Integration for Electrified Propulsion

    Overview

Hydrogen Fuel Cells appear as an attractive alternative to traditional fossil fuel engines in freight and passenger transport systems (marine, heavy-duty, railroad, off-road, aerospace) thanks to their high energy density. However, fuel cells are a part of a complex system including batteries, power converters, electrical machinery, and cooling equipment. Join this MathWorks presentation to uncover how Model-Based Design helps to solve challenges such as system sizing, performance trade-off analysis and concept development while ensuring lowest time-to-market and product safety.

    Highlights

    • Multi-stack fuel cells and battery propulsion system
    • Energy management design
    • Supervisory logic and state machine development
    • Embedded code generation
    • Real-time testing and prototyping
