Mark McBroom, MathWorks
This video first explains the software required for running the support package:
The video then explains how to use MATLAB to communicate with another DDS participant. For demonstration purposes, Shapes Demo (which is provided by RTI Connext), is used to communicate with MATLAB. An interface definition language (IDL) file is imported into MATLAB to create MATLAB classes that align with each struct definition in the IDL file. Then you can start the RTI Connext Shapes demo. Lastly, you can use MATLAB commands to create a DDS domain participant that publishes and subscribes to the DDS topic data exchanged with the RTI Connext Shapes demo. The MATLAB examples used in this video are installed as part of the DDS support package.
