See the FAQ: http://matlab.wikia.com/wiki/FAQ#During_installation.2C_the_installer_crashes.2C_hangs.2C_gives_an_error_message.2C_does_not_authenticate_your_license.2C_or_otherwise_does_finish_installing_correctly. I believe they'll give you free telephone support not only for MATLAB installation but also for MCR installation.

Yes. They will take your question and give you an answer for free. It's not good business for them if people can't even install their product so that's why they give free support at least for installation. I mean, how could you spend even more money with them if you can't even get it to run. Plus, you bought it (perhaps a long time ago) so there is a "warrant of merchantability" that covers everything sold in the US that says the product must be suitable and able to do the thing it's supposed to do. That applies to every product even if the product says it has no warranty. If you buy a toaster and plug it in and it doesn't heat up, you can get your money back even if it has no warranty (as long as it's not sold "as-is" or sold with prior info telling you in advance that it's broken.) See https://www.google.com/#q=warranty+of+merchantability

Can you mark as Accepted if we're done here? Thanks.
