If you are taking a course in finance, surely you would recognize that MATLAB is SOLD, for PROFIT. That means you cannot simply download it, you must pay for it first. Once you have done that, problem resolved, the download is easy.

Most university have university licenses. Ask your professor who is giving the course or look into you IT webpages.

If your university does not provide that, ask your professor what the students were doing!
