Matlab error: “filpath” is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file

i am using sift library in my image processing project on matlab R2013a in 32 bit windows 7, i am setting file path as sift_path = fullfile('lib','sift','bin','siftfeat'); and it gives an error as 'lib\sift\bin\siftfeat' is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file.

The error message is clear: 'lib\sift\bin\siftfeat' is not recognized as an external function. Most likely this file is not existing at all, because the path is relative. Check this:
sift_bin = fullfile('lib','sift','bin','siftfeat');
test = fullfile(cd, sift_bin);
exist(test, 'file')
Perhaps you want to use an absolute path. Where do you expect the executable "siftfeat.exe" to be?
While the OP worked under Windows, the attached comments from Nimit Kaura do not mention the used operating system.
