how can i read 2 columns from a text file which consists of 14000 rows and 7 columns (including serial number)

i have a text file named sks.txt which consists of 14000 rows and 7 columns including the serial number.... 1st column is serial number... my data is in the 2nd and 3rd column.... from the text file i have to read the 2nd and 3rd column ...
