I want to know how to create a complex matrix representing a grid of points with corners at -1 - i and 1 + i. I was confused by this question and I do not know how define i. Help me with the code.

% option 2
B = [-1-1i;1+1i] %1i is preferred
B =
-1.0000 - 1.0000i 1.0000 + 1.0000i
% option 3
R = [-1 ; 1] ; % real part
I = [-1 ; 1] ; % Imaginary part
C = R+1i*I
C =
-1.0000 - 1.0000i 1.0000 + 1.0000i
