Does anyone know if the new Python engine can be pointed at the MCR instead of the native Matlab installation? I'd like to build an integrated, compiled application with Python - MCR functionality but can't figure out if that is possible yet without some additional glue.
thx, -Xander

Hi Xander,
In the R2014b release the MATLAB Engine for Python does not support the MCR though it is something we may consider for a future release. Thanks for your feedback.

Is there any update regarding MATLAB Engine for Python and MCR? I couldn't find any information that any release of Matlab Engine for Python support MCR.

There is a Python client for the MATLAB Compiler SDK. On the following doc page, look at "Python Package Integration".
