what type of inputs should be given in jbfilter2(D,C,w,sigma) function and where we have to add the noise.

In Joint Bilateral Filter function, we need to add noise(sigma) in noflash image or it is enough to assign sigma value in jbfilter2 function?
tell me what type of inputs should be given in this function
