Could you please tell for what purpose you want to cut the rectangle?
You can use imcrop() to crop the region from the whole image.
As for example:
I = imread('your_image');
subplot(1,2,1);
imshow(I,[]);
I2 = imcrop(I);
subplot(1,2,2),
subimage(I2);

I have to extract the rectangle automatically, I do not have to do anything. Just, run it. After that, I need to make an adjustment to an exponential function.

How can I detect the edges of the image to cut with imcrop()?

Do you mean the rectangle or the whole rectangle region? Are you looking for a binary image after you detect the rectangle region? However; for your information you will not be able to detect the edges from the image using imcrop() but rather it will let you to crop the region that you want to crop only.
