how can I write this exponential function in MATLAB?

velocity= 1m/s; x= 0 to 3; zeta= 125.7, u(x,0)= u(space, time); u=0.5 from the wave graph

Hi, you can define a function with syms and then substitute the value you want.
for Example
syms x t a
u(x,t)=exp(a*x^2)*t
u(x, t) =
u2(x,t)=subs(u,a,2)
u2(x, t) =
That just looks like a boundary value. Are you hoping to solve a partial differential equation, with that as a boundary value?

Hi Ayushman,
You can use exp() function in the MATLAB. Refer to the below example
for x=0:3
u=exp(-16*(x-1/2)^2)*sin(zeta*x)+u;
end
Refer to the below documentation for more information:
Hope this helps.
