Hi, I am considering migrating the code for my thesis to livescripts so I can make rich annotations.
The code involves training neural nets, lots of matrix algebra, and doing convolutions. If I switch will my code be much slower? There is a lot of scary answers that say things like "livescripts can be 50000 times slower".

        Hi Rowan,
Livescripts are not slower than scripts. Executions of functions is not affected whether you execute the function in a livescript or script. The elapsed time to run is comparable whether you run a livescript or .m file.
For more information, you can follow this MATLAB Answer . Here the elapsed time is compared after running the same file as on livescript and script.
Hope it helps!
