Can I use a school license for the Matlab R2023b pre-release version?

I am using educational license 9xxxxxx, but I am currently using the pre-release version on my MacBook Air M2. Can I extend the duration by using the educational license on the pre-release version?

The prerelease license will expire in roughly two weeks, because the official R2023b has been released.

i met the same problem. Can I updated from pre-release version instead of reinstall Matlab?

No. There is no way to update from a pre-release to a final release. The installer is also not able to detect that what is present is a pre-release. You need to move /Applications/MATLAB_R2023b.app to the trash and then install R2023b full release.
