- Try disabling the anti-virus to see if the problem persists. Alternatively, disable the anti-virus for the 'C:\Temp\Polyspace' folder only.
- Use a different temp folder by using the option -tmp-dir-in-results-dir. When this option is set, the temporary folder will be located in the results directory instead of the system-defined temp folder.
Why do I receive the error message "Unable to rename file C:\Temp\Polyspace\1D78_1508135689\26D75C_18C1_208C.expanded into C:\Temp\Polyspace\1D78_1508135689\26D75C_18C1_208C" Exiting. System error Permission denied (acces: Permission denied)

Verifying c.c (3/87)
*** Unable to rename file "C:\Temp\Polyspace\1D78_1508135689\26D75C_18C1_208C.expanded" into C:\Temp\Polyspace\1D78_1508135689\26D75C_18C1_208C". Exiting.System error Permission denied (acces: Permission denied)

The error message indicates a system-related issue caused by an anti-virus program. The files listed in the error message are located in the system's temp folder, and the anti-virus is preventing access to this directory.
This issue was resolved in R2017a.
If you are using an older release, here are some workarounds that might solve the issue:
For more information, refer to this documentation link:
In the Polyspace UI, this option can be set in the 'Other' field under the 'Advanced Settings' section of the configuration pane.
If the problem occurs with a version prior to R2017a, please contact technical support and attach the Polyspace analysis log file found in the results folder.
