Giving multiple subplots the same size

Hi everyone,
I try to plot 6 plots into one figure using subplot. The problem is, that the sizes of each subplot are not the same. Some are slightly wider, others slightly thinner. Is there a command that forces the subplots to all have the same size?

That's surprising--can you show a sample code snippet that illustrates the issue? By default they will be the same size (within floating point precision of the width/height values). Perhaps your changing display properties so that margins around different axes aren't the same as legend or [x|y]label or the like make some room?
