simulink matlab function code editor not using dark theme
Show older comments
I upgraded from matlab 2022b to 2025a and just noticed that the dark theme is not used in the matlab function block code editor in simulink. Has anyone got this working? It was working fine in 2022b. Otherwise, is there any way to edit the code in the script editor (which is actually using the dark theme)?
Thanks

It seems you are referring to MATLAB Colors Preferences in R2022b. To apply a black background to the editor in MATLAB R2025a, follow these steps:
- Navigate to the Home tab and click Settings in the Environment section.
- Go to the Colors section under MATLAB > Appearance.
- Under Desktop tool colors, adjust the Text and Background colors as desired (e.g., black background with light text).
- Click Apply to save the changes.
Note: Dark mode is not supported in MATLAB R2022b and earlier releases. It is available starting from MATLAB R2023a.

Matlab drak mode works quite well but we need the same for Simulink.
