How can I segment forearm region from hand region in hand gesture detection?

Hello,
I am working on hand gesture tracking, Actually I face problem in eliminate the forearm region from hand region since the palm in my dataset is closed as forming fist.
I have tried "Maximum Inscribed Circle using Voronoi Diagram" function but it does not work with me.
