Autoplay gifs in MATLAB

Hello, I'm trying to integrate a gif into a little project of mine but whenever the gif is played, I need to manually press play on the GUI -- is there any way I can make it so the gif automatically plays when the GUI pops up? Thanks in advance.

How are you loading the gif? What code are you using to play it? Are you loading it with different frames along the 4th dimension, and using implay() to play it?
