Is it possible to use datetime class variables with any plot functions other than plot? e.g. plot3 If I try the following command:
plot3(datetime,1,1)
I get the following error:
Error using plot3
A numeric or double convertible argument is expected

It's not possible to use datetime with plot3. However, you can use your axis values with datetick to display the axis ticks as dates. For more details on datetick, refer the following link:

datetick is not convenient to work with since it does not update during zooming and panning.
I look forward to future versions of MATLAB in which datetick updates during zooming and panning.
