hello, im working on a parallel robot (pics here http://i461.photobucket.com/albums/qq338/ppsirg/robotik.jpg) that consists on one platform, a base and three arms, we are trying to simulate the robot and its ctc controller in a 3D virtual enviroment. we designed the ctc controller in simulink and we wanted to simulate the robotic structure on simulink 3D animation.
we have to connect the three active arms to the upper platform, so upper plataform should be a child of each arm, but simulink 3D generates an error when im trying to do that. all the documentation we've read is about serial robots and we dont know how to associate the mobile platform to the tree arms.
thanks for help

Hi Diego, this is a little late but the functions and blocks that build, interact with, and link virtual reality worlds via VRML or X3D will be removed in a future release.
Instead, starting in R2024a, Simulink 3D Animation will contain a suite of basic scenes, actors and sensors that will allow you to build 3D simulations using an interface to the Unreal Engine from Epic Games. For anyone looking into this question, Part 1 and Part 2 of this webinar covers how to simulate a robot with a controller in a 3D virtual environment.
