How to export text box values into text file

Hi everyone,
my GUI has a variety of parameters that can be chosen. I need to export these parameters into a text file which can be used as a input file for a .exe simulation but am not really sure how to export my parameters into a text file
any suggestions?

doc fopen
doc fprintf
doc fwrite
doc fclose
A combination of these.
