Hi. I am using mapshow to overlay several lines on top of each other. I need to write code that will identify which shape confined by these lines has the most corners, and then pull that shape out and have the locations of each vertice in an array.
Thanks!

As far as an algorithm that will do this, I am not really sure. I did find some MATLAB functions that could help you find the corners. Try taking a look at the following links.
Mapping Toolbox > polyxpoly
Computer Vision System Toolbox > detectHarrisFeatures
Computer Vision System Toolbox > detectMinEigenFeatures
If you use polyxpoly, then you can get back a two-column array of line segment indices corresponding to the intersection points. This could help you make a connectivity matrix and find the longest cycle.
