I am using Matlab R2008b Student version and I cannot get the Arduino library to work. Also can I find the Arduino library and use it in a professional version of Matlab?

Please elaborate on "cannot get the Arduino library to work" - are you seeing errors? If yes, specify the error and what you do to reproduce it.

Also, please specify where you got the library from. Is it from File Exchange?

Yes, there is a new Simulink feature in R2012a called Run-on-Target which supports LEGO Mindstorms, Arduino and Beagleboard: http://blogs.mathworks.com/pick/2012/04/20/run-on-target-hardware/

To install support for Arduino in the R2012a version of Simulink, enter targetinstaller in the MATLAB Command Window. This action opens Target Installer. Then, follow the instructions in Target Installer.
