Center Points and Moments of Image

I am trying to find some image's center points and moments but first I have to convert the image to binary by thresholding. So I did that:

I=imread('image.tiff');
BW=im2bw(I);
imshow(BW);
[m,n]=size(I); 
then i did the loop :
for i=0:2048;
    for j=0:2048;

but I'm getting confused now. How can I find the center points and moments the easy way (and not using regionprops)?
