Question about run executable(Generated by simulink code) in cmd

Hello,
I was learning the example "Run Batch Simulations Without Recompiling Generated Code" in help documentation.
In the M file, there are two sentences:
runstr = ['.', filesep, 'rtwdemo_rsimtf -p params',num2str(i),'.mat', ' -v'];
runstr = ['.', filesep, 'rtwdemo_rsimtf -f rsim_tfdata.mat=sweep', ...
num2str(i),'.mat -v -tf 4.096'];
My question is about these 2 sentences:
  1. what's the function of '.' at the start the bracket?
  2. what do '-p', '-v' and '-f' mean?
Thanks!

 Accepted Answer

The '.' means "relative to the current directory".
-f is "Read input data for a From File block from a MAT-file other than the MAT-file used for the previous simulation"
-p is "Read a parameter vector from file filename.mat"
-v is "Run in verbose mode"
-tf is "Run the simulation until the time value stoptime is reached"
