Hi there, I am a beginner with matlab. I would like to see the matlab-code for computing the singular value decomposition (standard SVD algorithm) of a matrix. So, could someone tell me how I can get the code, please? If yes, which version of Matlab we can see such the matlab code? Best.

The exact source code is indeed protected, but based on what I know of the history and origins of MATLAB, you could look up how the singular value decomposition algorthim is in LAPACK and you know how it is done in MATLAB.

The documentation of Matlab 2009a explains, that Lapack's DGESVD is used for real doubles.

Hi, You cannot see that code. It is a built-in function.
