OS X 2017b Simulilnk SerialReceive SerialConfigure

A usb serial data source was connected and verified with a terminal program (Coolterm).
Attempts configure the blocks in the Windows version were successful. Has anyone had success on the OS X platform? Is there any particular settings this must be configured to prevent the system from running an infinite loop?
